An unusual Regency lamp table in birch, the square top with rounded corners and moulded edge and with a broad band of satin birch crossbanding, over a frieze drawer with boxwood stringing and on a quadruped pedestal with a turned cannon-barrel shaft and raised on hipped and curved supports. English, possibly east of England, circa 1820. Condition: Overall very good, the table is sturdy and robust, the crossbanding has some old cracks to it and there are marks to the top consistent with age, otherwise the table is in very good condition and stands well, and has a lovely colour and patina.
