A flight of late Victorian library steps in oak, the run of three steps surmounted by an additional step raised on turned supports over the main steps, the middle two each having a cupboard with panelled door and turned wooden knob, the lower two with recessed tread and the whole set upon a plain frieze raised on inverted turned baluster supports. English, circa 1890. Condition: Excellent, the flight is in very good condition with no breaks or repairs, the structure is solid with no wobbling or cracks, the top shelf is secure but should probably not be used as a step, overall the piece has a great appearance, with good colour and patina.
