A Charles X dressing table stool, the generous rectangular top with a stuffover seat and piped edge and double piped border in a burnt orange fabric, to a shallow frieze with carved florets on carved and tapering supports, each with a capstan top over a stiff foliate carved a fluted shaft, raised on foliate carved inverted baluster feet. French, circa 1830. Condition: Overall very good, the stool is in very good condition and is solid and robust with no wobbling, there are some small losses to the gilding consistent with age but the gilding is original and is in overall good condition. The upholstery is very recent and is clean, with well executed piping and clean lines. Dimensions: Height = 51 cm (20”) Width = 56 cm (22”) Depth = 43 cm (17”)
