An Early 20th Century Steel and Gilt Brass Carriage Clock

A fine early 20th century carriage clock in a polished steel and gilt brass case, the brass swing handle over a thick bevelled viewing glass to the fully jewelled and gilded lever escapement, with a steel top and slender gilt brass columns to the sides over a steel base raised on square gilt brass feet, and with a gilt mask detailed Thomas Agnew and Sons, around the 2” gilt dial with Roman numerals and outer minute track and blued steel hands, to a fourteen day two train movement striking the hours and half hours on a coiled gong, and with a repeating function. Supplied with a key. French, for the British market, circa 1900. Condition: Excellent, the clock is in very good condition with no damage to the case or dial, the movement has been fully serviced and overhauled and is in full working condition, and the repeating function works as it should.
