A mid 19th century, early Victorian overmantel mirror in a gilt frame, the antique mercury plate within a gilt frame in the 18th century style with an incorporated slip and an elaborately carved swept frame with an anthemion at each corner and a similar device at the centre of each side. English, circa 1850. Condition: Overall very good, the frame is in excellent condition and the plate has a rich dark hue to it associated with mercury glass, there are some minor marks to the plate, which is probably not the original.
