Description The chamfered bar top cresting rail is a feature associated with that region. Unusual pear shaped turned detail at top of rear legs and four nicely graduated horizontal curved splats for extra comfort. Robustly made with sound seats and protective wood strips. Excellent original nutty colour and rich patina. The same model of this chair is illustrated in “The English Regional chair” by Bernard Cotton 1990 figure NW211 on page 380. A great way to start a collection of differing examples to make up a set. The back feet were re-tipped a long time ago.
