Description Made like Jacobean chests in two parts, this one has oak sides. The oak lined drawers have the original locks except the top right drawer which is opened by releasing a wood spring from the drawer below. (not present) The long drawers are veneered to look like two drawers. Long grain double “D” mouldings frame the drawers. Formally with wood knobs but signs of back plates indicate ring handles were fitted originally. Remarkably the corners of the top moulding have never been damaged. This chest has been well looked after. Circa 1680-1700 Height 37.5 inches 95 cms Width 39.5 inches 100 cms Depth 22.4 inches 56.5 cms
