An early 20th century table lamp, formed as a Japanese cloisonné enamel vase, the bulbholder fitted to a stepped brass cap over the large baluster shaped vase decorated profusely with repeating geometric and stylised floral patterns around the top and with a broad band of naturalistically drawn hibiscus flowers and leaves to the body and with a band of stylised leaves below, all on a royal blue ground, over a brass foot with entwined wavy lines, raised on a carved and pierced oriental style ebonised wooden base. Japanese, circa 1930. Condition: Excellent, the lamp is in very good condition with no damage whatsoever to the enamels, the colours are bright and vibrant, the base is in excellent condition with no damage, and the lamp has been rewired using a new bulbholder, braised flex and a new plug fitted with a 3amp fuse. Height – 44 cm (17.5”)
