A pair of early 20th century table lamps made from late 19th century Japanese Imari inverted baluster vases, each with a bulbholder fitted to an ebonised wooden top over a vase decorated with floral vignettes and birds in blues and reds with gilt highlights, and raised on turned oriental style bases. English, with Japanese vases, circa 1920. Condition: Overall very good, each lamp is in very good condition with no damage to the vases, there is a small section of moulding missing from one the bases (pictured), there is a little wear to the gilding consistent with age, but overall the lamps have a delightful appearance. Each lamp has been rewired with a new safety bulbholder, braided flex with two metres spare and a new plug fitted with a 3amp fuse. Height = 38 cm (15”)
