A late 19th century French mantel clock in alabaster, the architectural plinth case with an arched top with a small platform supporting a cherub with a harp, over a 3¼” white enamel dial with Roman numerals in black and outer minute markers, blued steel hands and gilt bezel and an eight day timepiece movement, and with a pair of gilt brass finials on either side with gilt brass line and chain decoration, raised on gilt brass feet. French, circa 1880. Supplied with its pendulum and a winding key. Condition: Overall very good, the clock is in excellent condition, the case is in very good condition with the exception of a small (and discreet) repair on one corner by the dial, the gilding is in excellent condition, the movement has been fully serviced and overhauled and is in excellent working order.
