A late 19th century mantel clock in a rosewood case, the lancet shaped case in solid rosewood with boxwood stringing to the edge and with satinwood and boxwood inlay to the front around the gilt bezel to the white enamel dial with Arabic numerals and outer minute markers with quarter hour indicators, pierced gilt brass hands and an eight day French movement with a cylinder escapement and integral key and hand winder, the whole raised on an ebonised plinth base with compressed brass feet. English with a French movement, circa 1890. Condition: Overall very good, the clock is in very good condition with no damage or marks to the case, there is a small area of damage to the dial around 10 o’clock, otherwise it is in good condition, the movement has been fully serviced and overhauled and is in excellent working order.
