A George IV bracket clock in a mahogany case, the arched top with a pediment of lobed decoration and raised corners over sides with rectangular silk lined gilt brass fish scale sound panels, the front with fine carved scrolling foliate motifs, on a plinth base and raised on gilt brass ball feet, and with a cast gilt brass bezel and convex glass over a convex off-white painted 8” dial with Strike/Silent selector and with Roman numerals and outer minute track, blued steel moon hands and KENNETT, WARWICK to the centre, and with an eight day twin fusee movement striking on a bell. English, circa 1825. Supplied with case keys, winding key and pendulum. Condition: Overall very good, the case is in very good condition with no damage or significant marks, the dial is in good original condition with clear numerals, there is some wear to the name on the dial and some losses to the brass inner surround to the dial, the movement has been fully serviced and overhauled and is in excellent working condition. Overall this is a fine clock with a lovely case with great figure, wonderful crisp carving and a pleasant chime. Dimensions: Height = 42 cm (16.5”) Width = 30 cm (12”) Depth = 16 cm (6.5”)
